Learning for Living is a long-term, inter-agency government project developed in response to the unacceptably high numbers of NZ adults who do not have the necessary literacy and numeracy skills to participate fully in formal tertiary education or community living.  The Tairawhiti cluster works with managers and tutors to improve their understanding of effective literacy and numeracy practice.
